My FE without the airbox, I added these air-cleaners that are hidden inside.

Being a LR intake it was tight for plug leads (Touched fuel bowl) so 2" spacers put the carbs at approx. HR level. I had a look at dizzy and it's actually an OEM Ford dual point.

  11. Do you think this Offenhauser is Potvin or something else like 3 or 4-71 blower and what's the value of it ???
Has the number 2-22-6 cast on it.

It sure looks like a Dyer modified Offy manifold missing its 1/2” thick plate to mount a 4-71. Look at the round boss at the front, center and the two wings welded on at the rear, they are there to provide support for the plate.

  14. Kind of looks like a Dyers conversion to 6-71 with the extra tabs welded on it, you know how it was just a big aluminum plate made to fit a regular 4 barrel intake, but this intake looks different from a 4 barrel.

  15. It does have the plate, but I seen an Offenhauser for a Potvin that looks similar to this intake is what got me wondering.

I stand corrected, seeing the stud pattern on your plate it is for a 6-71 blower.
Looks like that pop off was over worked too!

  17. I guess it could be an intake like this with the hole opened up

That is a modified intake for a blower probly done by dyers ive seen a lot of them over the years even owned a few the reason the flange looks different is because they milled the top of it off so the top is square to the crank centerline all intakes have a 3degree angle machined at the carb flange because most all factory cars set the engine at a 3 degree angle why you ask well it has been said that it’s for oil drain back so it will go back to the pan that intake wasn’t made for a race car by any means but for a street car that is all show and no go it was a cheap way to go many years ago I’ve ran intakes like that with a 4-71 and had good success but I can’t see it would be super effective with a 6-71 on it I’ve never ran one like that on a small block Chevy actual blower intakes are to readily available but for the odd ball engines it’s a cost effective way to do it especially for an engine that a blower intake isn’t available for it’s a nicely made intake though

  20. Jackson nailed it. That is exactly what that intake is and what it was intended for.
