Yep, Limeworks. I have one on the decklid of my roadster. It was made to fit the deck of a 32 so I fashioned a pattern and sent it to them and he bent one up to fit my car. I broke the first one I tried bending myself. It is now just an expensive memory.

When you have six fingers, it doesn't matter how many five-fingered gloves you try on, they simply don't fit.
Maybe a six-finger is what you need.........................;) Just sayin'.

  17. How dare the owner run the tire of his choice on his car. He should be flogged, castrated, and his car burned to the ground. Then he should be made to pay for the cleanup. Doesn't the guy realize that he's not permitted to do just anything to his car....

Living “traditional” can only limit your enjoyment of the hobby. Demanding it only makes you proud of your ignorance.

The problem is not with restricting what people do to "their "cars. There is no arguement regarding this. One should choose what one sees fit. Whatever tickles your pickle. The trouble starts with failing to realize that the forum you have joined, and wish to participate in, is based around the "traditional " style of hot rod construction. As far as I can see, it always has been, right from the start. Not to say that it is better than any other style, but it is what we are about here at the HAMB. If you want to eat chinese food, don't go to a steak'n'ribs joint.
I will quote myself, and say again.............................

Now come on, that **** is just funny...................o_O

Well played ... and thank you for solving that mystery for me!

Trunk Handle from an Austin Healey 100-4 or 100-6 available from Limeworks

So-Cal License Surround (pops right up on a search when I have the right nomenclature)

As far as my aversion to billet goes, I've spent my life as a Tool & Die Maker then an AeroSpace Machinist. Machined aluminum, I think, reminds me of drudgery. There's something more delightful about adapting from another source like an Austin Healey . I just never would have guessed that source!

No, at one time it was not strictly traditional. Not sure when Ryan changed it.

Sorry, I haven't been here from the start. I was not aware things were different in the beginning.
I hate the term 'rules' in regards to what we are about here, but the current guidelines are fairly obvious and easy to understand. One has to wonder how many who join actually take the time to read them.....

Reminds of a time when my cousin entered his 87 Dodge Shelby Charger in a “Shelby only” slalom event. There were many pissed folks, but in the end they let him participate. He later took first place. Needless to say, the rules were changed the following year to “Ford Shelby”. Lol!
