New guy here! I've owned a few classic vehicles in the past, but mostly 70s models. I recently came into possession of a 51 Ford Custom that is in, honestly, very good condition compared to many that I've seen in this area (very humid here). Runs. Drives (with a little wrestling). Plan is to go through it mechanically. Fix a couple of leaks. Redo the interior completely. Lower it just a smidge. Paint/rechrome. And start doing a little work with the flathead in it (I have 0 knowledge about these engines, but found some good resources recently that I'm going through.) Cheers!
Welcome from Indiana! Car does look good from here and often the learning about something new (to the owner) is worth the adventure. Good luck. Regards, Randy Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Welcome to the HAMB from Illinois. Nice 51. My advice would be to get it running and driving dependably first. Then work on the cosmetics. Don't disassemble too much at one time as too often the hulk ends up in the back of the garage, and never gets on the road again.
Welcome. Your Shoebox looks great. I'm always a bit confused when someone mentions classic cars and the 1970's in the same sentence?
