Is it just me or does anyone else want to watch "The Rocketeer" again?

  3. The Cord designer Gordon Beuhrig built a similar car in the late 1920's.

Late to the party after posting another thread on the 28 Ford Streamliner. Interesting to say the least. There is no right or wrong, good or bad. Ok. Maybe here on the HAMB, but enjoy it , race it, show it to the world so it can inspire others to follow their dreams. I really love all things from the Art Deco era, and it certainly captures it in spades. Buck Rogers would be proud!

Any more details on the build. When? Why? Whatever it is, it reminds me of something I would dream of as a kid, amazing!

Buehrig designed the TASCO in 1948. It was arguably his Edsel.

What's your home owners association got to say about it? Personally, I think the power train and chassis could have been put to much better use. Let me add, from the "cowl" area forward, it really looks good; not so much with the rest of the body. JMO. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

  11. I think about 12 inches taken out of the roof height, making it flatter and the windshield shorter to match side window height would make it look a lot better. The more I look at it, the more I see eyeballs in the windshield like from Cars movies.

I kinda like it in that it looks like a period aero experiment that would have been done by an amateur ca. 1935 or so. It's a bit awkward, but I think it adds to its charm in evoking that period of experimentation.

The shap of the body reminds me the float that you would see in the tank of a toilet.
