Thought you would all like to see what I have been working on in my 'spare' time . I have donated work from our shop to finish this ride . These pics just represent a handful of what I have taken.Tucci Engineering started the truck at their shop in Marcy New York This is the 1949 Chevrolet Pickup that the Right Coast Association will be GIVING AWAY at this year's Syracuse Nationals in July .Anyone who is a participant of ANY Right Coast show is eligible for a chance to win it. Check out more at : www.rightcoastcars.com This is what it is supposed to resemble when done: Enjoy the pictures
One of the guys in our car club had his name drawn at Springfield last summer so he's in the running to win this truck. It's looking good. I can't wait to see it in person.
I was there - I think I saw that happen (in the rain) (I am the Asst Rep director for New England) cool- if a MA guy/girl wins it Ill throw in a stated value appraisal for free. By the way, the headlight kit is a Hagan kit
The truck is now in the body work stage- my staff put 30 hours into it this weekend at my shop. Ill try to get some pictures up ASAP.
anyone intersted in helping finish the body work on this ride let me know. I could use help this weekend . Shop has put over 300 hours into it already....
Hey everyone: We created a whole page of all the pics we have taken for the buildup/bodywork & paint. Should be painted by the end of the week. http://www.chop-shopcustoms.com/Right_coast/RCtruck.htm let me know what you think.
Just wanted to let everyone know that we are finishing the truck this weekend. Dave Tucci form Tucci Engineering is at my shop as I type and we are working feverishly at GROUND ZERO. (Thanks Dave!) There are new pics up on the Right Coast website taken last night of the cab paint etc... www.rightcoastcars.com Hope to see you all at the Syracuse show- stop by to say hi
I hope everyone has enjoyed the end result of this hard work . For those who got to see the truck, many came by and provided great feedback to me about the work- I appreciate it. I do want to make sure that people out in HAMB world understand that at no time have I been knocking the Right Coast about the build and work- they have been super supportive and helped me achieve what I wanted from doing the truck- CREDIBILITY. Heard grumblings that some people thought I wasnt happy with the RC- I AM I AM I AM !!! THEY have been super through the entire process. Id do this for them anytime.... Even though you work at doing this stuff for 20 + years, no one ever seems to belove you can do what you do until its more public- so THANK YOU Right Coast! The timeline began July 2005 when the steel cab was brought to Tucci's and the truck didnt get back to me until May 2006. Not much to say other than I should have had more time to do what I needed to do - 8 weeks was REALLY rough when body work & paint had some metal fab added to it. All in all- I hope everyone likes the work . MY shop aims for customers who are looking to have stellar work done in an affordable range to make their ride something others can actually relate to and enjoy.
Thanks for the links and pics. I have a '50 myself that Im just starting and it's great to see an overview of how its supposed to be done. Truck looks awesome.
thanks- the interior is supposed to be finished soon. Tucci took the truck back this weekend to finish it up.If all goes well, it'll be back in my area for the Boston World of Wheels Next years ride is going to be a 32 Ford.
The truck should be back in MA around the first week of December. If anyone wants to see it up close and personal, lemme know. By the way, the 32 is being done by New Age Motorsports in CT.
A friend just had his New Age roller delivered to him.Nice work and attention to detail. Even drip rails. It'll be 331 Ford powered.Actually, he's the guy who built my '34.
this ride is back at my shop to get it ready to be seen at the Boston World of Wheels. Just thought y'all would like to know.
