    Hi,

I'm getting ready to install a Vintage Air system in my 56.

Does anyone have a recommendation as the best place to buy the unit? I didn't know if there is a HAMB member that would give any discounts.

    Thanks!

Nalakaya. Which model are looking to install. The shop installing mine could not get a Gen IV in with a stock radio. I could have part of the rear cut off since I had a shop put new guts in it but would never have able to remove it.
One of the other models may have fit. They do have a “fake” blanks to see if it what will work. I read that others put in a Gen IV but we couldn’t in my 56 Vic. We did use the engine compressor/alternator mount. I did my own under dash vent panel. BEC2CEE9-37F4-4AA5-8DB8-1E846FAC6E54.jpeg

    Jimmy six,

I'm going to go with the gen IV and will need to do something with the radio to shorten it and the glove box too.

    Your dash panel looks great!

I was able to use the existing glove box by putting it straight in from the front cutting the front half off copying the roll of the dash and getting some of those U looking things you put a screw in. I bought them at a ACE hardware. Kept me from making a complete new box.Good luck..

Got my VA Gen IV thru Affordable Street Rods.(Very knowledgeable and helpful)
Not currently installed but has been mocked up and test fitted. I will be using a Retrosound radio, original will not fit.
Will be using adapters on original heater control. Haven't made a decision yet on louvers/outlets. I plan on cutting down original style replacement glovebox.
