Technical HELP Chevrolet 283 2bbl Rochester carb squirts fuel!!

    I have twice seen this carb type have the hing pin on the float work out of position and leave the float dangling off of only one side of the hing and not able to close the float valve. It happened on a friends 72 Pontac Ventura and my 71 Camaro. Just take the screws off the carb top and check the float hing.

    Do you have a way to check the fuel pressure, had this kind of problem in the past and it was the fuel pump putting out too much pressure, ethanol can screw up pumps same as carbs :eek:
