I had a 320 cid GMC six cylinder on which I ran 3 Holley 500cfm two barrels. In a full IR set up. I expected that the very weak signal would cause the power valves to be always open. So I plugged the power valves. No worry about them. My experience after that was that the carb is not seeing a large air flow or va***e signal, so it is not dumping much fuel. But all the air in the world is flowing in there. So I needed to jet it pretty rich. It started and ran pretty good. My only real concern was WOT operation. But it didn't dump lots of fuel and I didn't expect it to.
Years ago a friend of mine "Homebuilt" a bunch of flathead tunnel Rams. The 2 he built mounted 4 individual 2 barrels sideways so each throat of the carb fed an individual port of the intake.Looks good on paper, but is untested
