Projects kinmont brakes

    Yes the "drums" (hats) are side-specific. The scoops face forward and bring air into the center.

    My pair of brakes were purchased for only $400 a few years ago.

  2. They may not be a miracle braking system but they sure do look great and, let’s face it, looking cool matters. If it was only about performance, we probably wouldn’t drive 85+ year old cars.

    Those brakes remind me of the Lockheed I think disc brakes used on the Chrysler 300 cars of 54 or 55. If memory serves me they did not work very well and Chrysler recalled them for replacement. An old neighbor of mine had a junk yard and had a car with them on it and took me and showed me them and told me about them. I guess they really sucked when water or snow got in them. You would hit the brakes and the car would go faster!
