I was wondering if anyone out there could help me out. I am wondering if the 1956 ford f100 offered stock power steering setup? I found a set up a guy claims came stock on his 56 and was wondering if this was offered and if so if anyone has driven one with stock power steering. Any help would be great. Thanks

  2. If I recall not too long ago someone posted about PS on F100 PU in that year range.Do a search, and see if it turns anything up.

Fairlane Victoria was a bit further up the food chain.

Your Fairlane has independent front suspension while an F100 has a straight axle.

I have been involved with these trucks for about 45 years and have never heard of one that was stock with power steering. Buyer beware!

It wasn't offered by the factory....maybe installed by someone else. Curious what this "stock setup" looks like. Is it a pump and a hydraulic cylinder? Post some pics if you can...
