Fred Lorenzen in the #28 Ford drafts Glenn " Fireball " Roberts in the #22 Ford at Daytona during the July 4, 1963 Firecracker 400. Roberts placed number 1 and Lorenzen number 2 in the race.
LaFayette Ford was right across the street from my junior high school. I remember seeing Fred Lorenzen walking around the car lot. His number 28 car was on display (a clone I assume). It didn't help my algebra grades with such distractions right across the street.

I had a 27T .Took a while to get used to. Depending on which pedal you pushed hardest,you went forward,backward or you stopped.Took a 1 mile ride and disassembled to build a hot rod.
