  1. I'm looking forward to seeing photos of the restored Bob Weinberg roadster/special.

  2. For me it's Dave Cayer's 1923 Track Roadster. Ingenuity and simplicity taken to the next level.

  6. Not sure what the official Pebble Beach Hot Rod entry criteria says, but if your name is Bruce Meyer, Don Orosco, or Roy Brizio, you have an excellent chance of being invited. Those guys always seem to be in the hunt. Much respect!

^^^^^ That may be so, same holds true with others that show a car there. Once shown at Pebble Beach the car can't come back for ten years, that is why every year looks fresh and new. Bob

I'm pretty sure it was Bruce Meyer that was instrumental in getting the "stuffed shirts" to give the hot rods a platform at PB.

Yes, Bruce Meyer was instrumental, but Ken Gross was very much part of the reason Hot Rods and Customs have been invited to share the show field with the “normal” Concours entries. Other Concours events have also opened up their classes to accept other types of vehicles, this goes a long way to keep our cars in view of the public, which gains acceptance.

I'm pretty sure you're right about that..big smile! We're doing everything possible to bring notoriety and long overdue appreciation for hot rodding. The head judge at Pebble Beach, ended up buying a '32 Roadster hot rod...so they get the importance of hot rodding. Never lift....

Ken Gross has been VERY involved with all the Hot Rod classes at Pebble Beach...and he's a true hot rodder...and head judge! All of us hot rodders owe him a round of applause...
Ken's a gifted writer and doing all he can to support and promote the hot rod legacy as well...

I hope there will be a Pebble Beach in 2021, it is unlike any week you will spend in the hobby. It is never too early to thank everyone that works all year to make this event happen. Life is short, be sure to attend the event at least once. Bob

I agree, expand your interest in the automotive world and attend some of the activities during the week prior to the Concours. There is so much going on that it is almost impossible to see everything, if you like anything with wheels this is the place to be. There are a number of events that are no charge to attend and there are others that just cost too much. You will see unbelievable vehicles on every street and parking lot, it’s like a car show on the whole peninsula. Lodging is the only issue, you may have to stay at a location that is remote but from experience I can tell you it will be worth it. No matter what part of the automotive hobby interests you a visit to “Car Week” on the Monterey Peninsula will be one trip you will remember forever. (This is not a paid advertisement!)
