I'm tearing down an 8BA engine that I got. The block looks magnificent so far and I think it's worth the effort. No cracks except the Ford standard issue ones from head bolts to water galley. There's no stampings on any of the pistons so I hope it's safe to ***ume standard bore. This engine is sleeved on all 8 cylinders and they sound/feel paper thin. #5 sleeve is all but rotten through from some water that sat in the cylinder. Some of them look perfect but others have a decent ridge to them. Could anyone hazard a guess if these sleeves I found on e-bay would work? They look to me like the type that you'd use a puller to get installed instead of the block of wood but I don't know. I messaged the seller about them but if I can I'd like to get more opinions. If generally people are saying go for it and somehow it ends up being wrong I promise I won't come on here *****ing. It'll be my own fault for not knowing better. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2746539751...vUnN4JgycT7aTBnxy6yNmLMO2WHTjNyo7yLb8WYBTTbEw
Ok, I didn't know I have to measure the wall thickness of my current sleeves. I thought it was just the standard field repair kit sleeve type of thing one size fits all.
