I'll be hangin out at the Mercury Lounge Saturday Night to see two of the koolest bands from the Mid-West, the Rumblejetts and the Silvermen. They will start tear'n it up at 9:00 pm. If you hadn't had the opportunity to hear them perform before, checkout the web sites below. http://www.rumblejetts.com/ http://thesilvermen.com/ Do you have parking for Kustoms? If not I'll drag down in my wagon. Happy Trails, Mick
Gotta agree with ya Mick, both these bands are packed with talent. They both will be playing at our Roadburner's hot-rod cruise in Beatrice Ne. later this month along with The Mezcals and Hot- Rod Otis. Is this Mercury lounge in Dewey ? Gary
Hey Gary, The Mercury Lounge is in Tulsa. Just 45 minutes away from my front door. Close nuff to check them out. Earlier this year I was there and it is a real kool place. Its an old gas station turned into a kool hangout. I didn't get the chance to take the Merc last time. Looking forward to getting some Pics in front of the lounge. Ok, I changed my mind I'm not going. Ha, Ha See ya Saturday night!!! Happy Trails, Mick
Damn, sounds like fun Mick, but a bit of a drive from Omaha. Tell the RJ's hi from the Roadburners, wish I could make it. Throw up some pic's of the show and this bar sounds like a very cool place. Later Gary
nothing beter than having the rumblejetts playing in your livingroom! (right malcolm!!) ha ha, tell them otis says hi as well. have fun in dewey!
Try and see you there tonight mick. I don't think I have had the pleasure of meeting you in person yet. I'll bring the wife with me if I can. She's the 5'1" curly haired brunet with the huge rack. I'll be wearing a drivers cap. If you see us. Be sure to introduce yourself. We'll be driving a '40 Graham Hollywood. I think I owe you a few CDs now that I think of it.
I get kinda spoiled here in KC, the Rumblejetts have a weekly gig at Knuckleheads and we hear the Silvermen quite often around town as well. Both those bands put on one hecka a great show and would not be something to miss. Best yet there car guys as well. If ya like that music there is a great friday radio show outta KC that features a nice mix of rockabilly, cl***ic country twang and early hard to find stuff. there web site streams live shows as well as archives. http://www.kcrockabilly.com
