A poster on the art wall in my garage. A Keith Weesner print. One of my favorite artists. Sent from my SM-G920P using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
How many boxes of that stuff do ya got? I have a 56 Nomad that needs a lot of chrome plating done. lol Ron........
I’ll play. These are “inspirational” posters from a car plant- would likely be found in the lunch rooms and hallways. For sale in the basement at autorama in Detroit a few years ago, 30 bucks each. Pictures were free.
Found this jammed behind an old cabinet at a place I worked at. These hand painted on board posters were displayed outside pubs, hence there's not many around. Plenty of repros though. It's a little over 5 feet high. Sent from my CPH1920 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Also I got this . The late Friend of mine pulled it out of a dumpster at the local Ford dealership. He told me that when he died that I was to receive it . His Widow sold his shop last week. I got in contact with her and I took it off the wall . He had nailed it up real well and customized the seat a little bit . If it’s OT delete
Bought this at a late Friends estate auction. Any ideas about who’s face was put over the original riders face ? Who was the original rider ? There’s a dragon on the tank
To me the face resembles President Lyndon B. Johnson, but if that is him I have no idea why his face would have been put on that poster. The photo at the top shows that LBJ had an appreciation for old Fords, he kept a ‘34 Phaeton on his ranch. At some point it had ‘36 headlights installed and a number of running lights added to the tops of the fenders
@Okie Pete That certainly looks like the East Bay Dragons MC logo on the side of the tank. Might be a good place to start a google image search.
Thank Y’all for replies . I’ve learned that the picture for the poster was a scene from Wild Angels movie starting Peter Fonda . Yes the face is LBJ . it is a good looking Panhead
In 2002 I sent this original 1962 Isky poster back to Ed, it had probably cost me .25 or .50 cents when I had sent away for it. I asked Ed to sign it for me and he did but I didn’t expect that he would have it reprinted and pass them out again. When he returned it he sent along some Iskenderian swag and a few copies of the duplicated poster. I got to meet Ed at the 2017 Meltdown Drags, the man is a national treasure.
