hey skidlid, saw you were looking for info on your old dragster, don't have any , but the club name is familiar. im into the old stuff, don't know if you have tried any of the groups on facebook? im not a facebook junkie, but some good groups the if ya put your info on there, ya mite get a hit. would love to see some pics of what ya got. car in avatar is mine, belonged to a friend who passed. if your not on facebook ,hit me up, I can do some research for ya. rich martin
Hi thx for the reply, it was a dragster sponsored by goodies speed shop, called the mixer, ran by Larry Johnson other guys name cant remember owned furniture stores and was partners on the good the bad the ugly rear engine dragster to Lee Cohon , had slow pokes lettered on it...believe was monterey cali slowpokes car club..66-68 maybe
Earl “Bunky” Eckstine was the President of the Slow Pokes here in Monterey, CA & he passed away back in 2009. He did custom paint out of his shop, Bunky’s Paint & Body Shop. His wife Sue still lives in Seaside, CA I believe. You could try reaching out to her through Facebook & see if she can get you in contact with someone that might have some information about your dragster. K. Clinton
