Chuck Finders built this ‘33 and convinced Tim Woods to let him run it with a blown Olds that was obsoleted when SWC went to Chrysler hemi’s, but soon after Tim Woods decided to campaign a 392 powered Mustang funny named the Dark Horse 2. I saw the Mustang run many times in the Midwest.

There was one similar to that, called "The Chiquita Banana", it wound up racing on sand, saw it at Coos Bay, in 1970.
Doug Hartlet, at left, racing Gene Mooneyham. That is the famous 554 coupe, running a flathead. Doug ran a GMC, but never go the power out of it that other GMCs did, according to Don Montgomery, because Doug used a Potvin cam instead of the Howard Cams that Don and other GMC guys ran. So Doug switched to a flathead, and later a front-mounted blown Chrysler with one of the early Potvin kits.
Yes I saw Rolling Stone Automotive - Dallas - and something didn't look right - like the front wheels - maybe the idea came from Eddie. The original did run without fenders at one point in it's progression.
It does look a little like a Dodge Sweptside pickup but it is a 57 A100 Cornbinder. Actually an International Diamond Jubilee edition I believe it was called.
