Had the doors hanging and decided I'd just rehang them on the cab for now before something bad happened to them. I also got the bed cover cleaned up and reinstalled. The next thing will be to get some of the dirt out of the top that got in the paint. Then I'll start lettering it. I'm gonna stall on that as long as I can.

 

Been replicating the lettering on the truck as close to original as I can. Not perfect but It ain't bad.

Well it only took 12 years to get this back in one piece but here it is! Other projects and life itself slowed me down but I ain't letting of the throttle anytime soon now!

 

It looks AWESOME.
Nicely detailed, but not over-restored such that it's character is smoothed over and lost forever.

I Love that truck a TON, you have done such a awesome job bringing it back to life once again, it has turned out great! I have had a love of the '30's Altered Coupes, trucks and sedans for 50+ years now.
I'm so looking forward to the day that you bring the Nailhead to life.

Ha ha, { Too nice?!? } That's like saying a girl can be too pretty, or a Hot Rod too fast! I think his pals are afraid his head won't fit in that little cab if they tell him how good he's doing. lol Todd can only do things one way. That's the Best Way! A great job, Mr. Va. HAMB.

Finally got the last of the lettering done. Also got the gauges in and i just spent my kids inheritance on some fuel injection parts to try to get this thing to bark!

I'm a bit confused with the original lettering the comma between Jim , Morris. Is his name Jim Morris or were there two drivers Jim and Morris? NOT a complaint with your extremely fine build just confused LOL.
