used to be a four door. I've seen it at the Road Rockets Rumble the last 2 years. Lots of work and clean construction.

    I'd drive it.

Pretty damn cool! Not a streetrod, not traditional, just a clever use of stuff that most would see as belonging where it was buried! Kind of a desert island hotrod...here I am with a torch and this pile of crap and nothing else...so light the torch and get to work!

Most people that think "outside the box", should probably try thinking inside the box once in a while.

    Skull bobble heads = funny!:D

What's up with the dual water necks on that intake? I don't think I have ever seen that on a SBC.....

There are some cheezy stuff on the car, like the bass boat seats....

    But overall, I dig it.

Yeah, for some weird reason, I really like it too. I would get rid of a lot of the 'novelty items' on it, though...

The car looks pretty cool, out of the norm too. I bet it gets a lot of looks at shows.

    Skull bobbles...... funny sh!&

  14. I think a pair of hockey pucks under cowl will get the hood going less uphill, unless it's just the pics. Then he/she did all that metalwork and left a chunk of the rear fenders on

I like the beak effect and the idea of taking a forlorn 4 door shortened and chopped to look like a coupe idea. Somebody did a lot of squinting when they were looking at that body in a field. Narrowing the body might help the tubbed rear wheels/wide cowl look go away.

I have to agree here. I kinda like it and appreciate the work that went into it.
The Fender section left in the door kills it for me.
Also could have just got a wider rear end to not "tub" it

But overall looks to be well built. - and the builder was very resourcefull

    Fake Tri-Power
    Fake "Flat-Head" water outlets:rolleyes:
    BobbleHead Skulls:cool:

  16. Desert island hot rod - I like that term. Gilligan!!!!!

  17. As others have said, the vestiges of the rear fender just kills the lines. Also, for me, the front frame rails need covering.
I wonder if a full covering of the rear wheels and full pontoon front fenders along with something of a 'catwalk' to mate the lower cowl to the grille wouldn't 'make' the car.
The peices probably weren't there, so he just built it without buying more pieces.
Still, looks a well-built ride, though I wouldn't call it a 'rat rod', as it looks safe to me.

  18. Could do some sort of bobbed rear fender like an old stocker maybe?

Nice work on the dash from the looks of it.

I hope he used a good water sealer on the 1x6 intake adaptor, wouldnt want it to warp and knock off those nice hand carved outer carbs
maybe the devil heads are just there to scare the rain away untill he gets the rear glass for it

Not very good overall flow to the car, but it is pretty cool. Neat interior and the hood even works!

I agree that the flow is off (I think everyone does) but its deffinitly diffrent and for the most part looks well thought out. I kind of like it but I think there is some stuff I'd change on the body for sure.

it's pretty cool in person. TONS of GOOD work in it.

FYI, they're not bobble heads. i think they're shift knobs or something. they don't move, BUT they do serve as a third-tenth brake lights and turn signals

I *hate* the fake shit on the engine. Fake carbs are ghey, makes me think of the 80's where show cars had twin superchargers and no crankshaft.

That leftover fender piece on the door bugs me more and more.

Little too heavy on the novelty crap as someone else pointed out. That said, fuck, I wish I had the talent to build it. This one isn't all there as far as looks, but it ain't bad, and I bet his next one is even better. Good for him for building it.

Hopefully he's used up his supply of fake junk so he won't use it on the next one.
