    That's a big dome for those closed chamber heads. You sure you wanna do that ? Gonna be some high compression , I'd guess 12 to 1, but didn't run the calc. Building it to race ?

    if the deck clearance is really .042" instead of .42", then it's 10.7 to one. Which might or might not work with the rest of the setup, on the gas you have available. A light car with good gearing and 91 or 93 octane, would probably be OK, but on the edge.

    You did not buy the pistons yet. Chose another set or get some of the bump knocked off of those.

    Make sure the pistons have the same pin height as stock ones, I learned here a bit ago with SBCs that many pistons are made ***uming the block will be decked.

    Icon has a few pistons for the 427, closed chamber 427's are hard to find for pump gas, just went through that. I sold my heads and bought a set of open chamber alum ones. If you want to put a blower on it, I have a set of JE flat top blower pistons, upgraded pins, .030 over.:)
