Yeah, I thought that would make you look. I need some help, I need some photos of fenderless 33/34 Fords (roadsters, coupes) from the rear. Specifically as they apply to bobbed frame rails, nerfs, spreader bars, plate location, etc.

I am moving my fuel tank on my roadster inside the car, I need to address the frame rails, exhaust pipes, number plate, spreader bar. Looking for some inspiration.

Give it time. This is the HAMB, I doubt all of the pics will stay on topic.

I can see now I needed to be more specific.
I like this, but i can't see where the frame is wacked off or what the spreader is attached to . The "left hand low" plate is cool too.

  7. B.B. If you look close you can see just a bit of the bracket welded to the bar on the black car you posted. To me that's the way it should be, Not able to see how it's done. You can see 2 holes drilled in what looks like 1/4" plate probably welded to the Chrome tube. On your car the plate needs to be off center for a clear shot under dead center.

This don't look to bad but the taillights look like add on's.

Nice work @Just Gary i appreciate that! I originally thought i would retain the spreader bar but i dont think so after seeing these images. It is a nice car but the plate and "floating" spreader bar hanging out the back looks un-thought out to me. Losing the spreader bar.

I thought the same thing when I saw that pic. I also thought that any driving at all and the rear tires are going to pelt those tail lights and I spent too much chroming mine to subject them to stones.

I do notice a trend on the "left hand low" plate mount in those pics @Just Gary added. I hate to be a lemming but i might have to follow the heard on that one.

    I know, disappointing isn't it? ;)

I also like the thin bumperette that some cars have. I see McMillian's makes one, I think that is what that black car I posted is running. They curve the radius to match the ass end of the car, tight stainless mounts. I may not have time for that this year but i may order one up and add it later. Kinda spendy it looks, $500 or so but it would add a little protection from parking lot bumps but not from anything more substantial. I will se how it looks without it for now.

I ordered a couple of mandrel bends for the tail pipes and some stainless wire for the MIG. I am thinking about running them closer together in the center. A project for this weekend.

  10. Billy, I bet this reminds you of something you would post.:D HRP

    Violation, Violation I know. my34 14.jpg
But B. B. maybe this will stay up long enough to help you some.
When this was the Northern Star, or the Plumb Cherry, a 12 gallon tank was put in behind the seats and the partition to the trunk. I bobbed the frame rails and made/installed the taillights and went with the bigger meats.
I'm going to include just the shot of the rear, the moderators might let it skate, might not. Totally non-traditional by HAMB rules, but in the effort of returning help/favors I'll try.

Yeah, I see where you bobbed the rails in that shot. Definitely an aggressive looking stance Larry. I don't think you need worry about the moderators, that pic is pretty alright in my book! Thanks for the help.
