Well it's been almost 4 years to this point!
A lot of grunt work and some late nights, but she's looking pretty darn good if I do say so!
Rocketeers, don't be too hard on me!! I haven't given up on Rocket power, but my wallet doesn't seem to be keeping up with me!

    Yup, she's bagged!!

I'd like to thank Ryan for providing a cool and informative place to hang out. I discovered the HAMB a few months after starting the project and have learned a ton of stuff. The car wouldn't be as far as it is if it wasn't for this place!!

Bill, I actually tried to get a 350 Olds in there.
It would have taken a little too much hacking to do it, I felt it wasn't worth it for a "temporary" motor.
I decided to go to the "dark side" because there was zero frame mods to make. I used the factory mount up front and built a cross member for the tranny. I only had to drill 4 holes in the frame, and it fit like a glove.
I just won't open the hood, that's all!

  10. Nice job! It looks great!Wish I was that far along!

I agree with everyone else, the Olds is right on! The stance is perfect. Did you use Air Ride with front/back valving or front/back and side to side? Did you use 1/4", 3/8" or 1/2" lines? What size pump did you use? I'm asking as I want some additional info for my Caddy. I have the old system with 1/4" lines and a small pump. It's OK, but I would like to upgrade, I think. Anyway, I love you Olds!

I think it looks great. The colors, the stance, hubcaps...even the engine. Great job!

BTW, what kind of air cleaner is that?

The air cleaner is 57 Olds.
As for the engine + tranny, I got it cheap thanks to a buddy.
I've got $200 bux into it the way it sits, it runs great, only has 90,000 km on it.

Drama, you want drama-I'll give you drama! I have to leave south Florida (where I have been since early December) this Friday for upstate New York. Another Aaaaaaaargh! Yep, sunny and 70 degrees for no sun and who the hell knows how cold and SNOW, lots of snow. I'm about to start crying. Is that drama or what?
