as some of ya might remember I do not like ready made parts because they
are, 1. like everyone's 2. most of the time they don't fit the look I'm going
with for my '27 track roadster.
after looking around at the headlight mounts that are for sale I dug into my
box of aluminum and made up my own mounts.
the large tear drop is from 1/4" alum. then I cut 1/8" alum. 3/8" smaller for
the smaller tear drop. Took a counter sunk bolt and put double stick tape on
the head and a disc of 400 sand paper to do the "engine turn".
Cut the main body out of 1/2" alum.
The "drops" will mount low on the nose with the main body level to the
    ground.
One pic is with a satin finish on the main body and the other is with a turned
finish, Not sure which way I'll go yet.

Almost forgot..Made a new steering arm out of 1/2" aluminum to sorta match
    the headlight mounts.

Those are some nice looking peices.
I would go with the engine turn look.
    keep up the good work.

Thanks Spanky, I'm thinking though the pic with both parts turned
is looking a wee bit "busy"
I got some other things left to make so it might get overpowering.

Why not make them so they are interchangable and do up a pair of each? That way, shoul dyou get tired of one, you can slap on the other set and have a completely different look.
