    Holy Crap! It is at over 23 grand and the reserve still isnt met! I might have to quit my job and start building these things to sell on ebay. Or maybe just start making the wood intake manifold tri-power set ups.

    I saw this on the 'bay before i saw it on this thread. I thought the owner/builder was thinkin vintage dirt-track car.

    I've been debating about posting on this or not. I like it but then I'm a bit prejudiced. I've known the builder since high school. He has a long history in custom motorcycle and car building as well as building lots of short track racecars. This thing reminds me of the old east coast modifieds. I was treated to progress pics all along and was impressed with the idea and execution. Its well built and reliable, I wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere. Seems to be an interesting thing to do with those four doors you all seem to hate. The proportions don't seem bad to me. The boat seats are not a gimic. They fit the space and were afordable. I'm not saying I would have built it exactly like he did. But I've never seen any cars on here or anywhere else for that matter that I wouldn't have done at least something differently than the builder did. That doesn't make the builder wrong just different from my taste.
    I've been following this forum for several years now. Lets see if I understand the approved building formula;
    Flatblack paint is OK, but must have red wheels
    Skulls are Ok if they are grill parts, shifter knobs, radiator caps, air cleaners, or are painted all over the car in cool 5th grader style.
    Low is good but, it must be impracticaly low, get damaged on Interstates, or be virtually undrivable
    Chopped is good but, it must be chopped to the point it looks like a cartoon
    The hood can't slant down any, but the radiator can stand a foot higher than the cowl
    Engine components should stick up and block a major portion of the forward vision causing a huge blind spot
    Quality contruction is secondary to the shock factor
    Thinking "outside the box" is OK as long as its one of the in crowd doing it
    OK, I think I got it now.

    Those skuls everyone has been laughing at are actualy "Custom Skull brake lights" acording to the ad. Kinda goofy. imagine driving down the street and all you see in front of you is a weird car with glowing skull boble heads.
