I've spent several hours on the internet hunting for any pictures or info about my 1962 Dodge Dart 330 413 Max Wedge 2-door post (sedan). (I'm from Norway. My english is not very good. Sorry) I'm 95% sure it raced in Indiana in the 60s (and possibly in to the 70s). Maybe Bunker Hill? I'm also pretty sure it was dark blue back then (original colour) and POSSIBLY with the "Dean Bros." on the door. If anyone have and info I would be the happeist man ever! Some people that may have owned or known the car: Charlie Golding Joe Dean Charlie Dean Dave Dean Jim Peer John Wyatt Ulrey Bros. Tom Crutchfield Carl Blaine Tony Cotterman Jack Greg Larry Babb Ed. Capullo Dean Fox Ron Nelson don McLomore Reffett Arnett Joe Pesareis Dean Dousum Ronnie Brown Noel Fox Do you know any of theese guys? Contact info?
Sorry ,,,,,I don’t know any of those guys,,,,but it’s a cool old Max Wedge . Those old 413 s were great . It amazes me how these old cars can end up so far away,,,,I’m glad you guys like old American machines ! Tommy
Wow.....lots of owners - have you been to the B Bodies only site - lots of old racers on there and it has a lost and found section as well.
I raced at Bunker Hill in the mid 60's, We raced a 56 Chevy in C Hot rod, somewhat like a g***er cl***. I don't remember ever seeing that car run there, but that's been a long time ago. It's a neat car, but back then there were a lot of neat Mopars. My advice would to contact the Dodge dealer in Rochester , Indiana. It Mike Anderson Chrysler, Dodge (574) 223-2711 . The former owner was a big Drag racer back then and still has a lot of old racers. His daughter I think works for Don Schumacker racing in Indianapolis. I'm in the car club in Rochester and I'll talk to some of the guys and see if they know anything about this car.
(I'm from Norway. My english is not very good. Sorry) Don't apologize about your English. Its obviously better than most of our Norwegian and probably better than some of the English that us "natives" use. You already have enough issues just trying to get parts shipped from the US to Norway. Nice Mopar. Hope you find some info on it.
I just asked a friend of mine and he didn't know any of the names you had. The Dodge dealer in Rochester In. was owned by a fellows last name of Hammel. He was big in racing. Maybe this will help
I have info on your 62 Maxie. Charlie Golding was the original owner and I recognize alot of those names on your list.
lets see this car ? two post since 2019 ? no intro.. maybe you would get more responses.. just saying
Not a damned thing wrong with your English. If you get stumped on a phrase or term post in Norwegian (I don't know if that is right) and tell us what language someone will translate it for you. I know nothing about your car other than I really like it. I hope someone has answers for you.
What a day! A norwegian mopar enthusiast told me Seth was trying to reach out to me and wanted my contact info. He just mailed me and I hope he can help me unravel this mystery. I'm so sorry I haven't seen your replies. To be honest I almost gave up and started to doubt it's history. Recently a relative of Jim Peer (former owner) contacted me and verified some info, but I still have a long way to go before I can bring the car back to it's 60s drag racing glory.
This is a photo from a couple of years ago when I bought it. It will get restored in the near future.
Nice find, good luck with your search. I've got a 63 but it still has it's lettering so mine was easier to find its history.
