Jimmy, I dont wish to debate corvairs with you. Your mind is obviously made up. My Corvair leaks zero oil. The reason why is I know how to build an air cooled flat six. This isn't 1960, with modern seals and proper assembly a Corvair leaks no more oil than any other engine. If you don't like the car so be it. There isn't a car that can't be made better with some thoughtful mods. That's what our hobby is about. If your ever in AK I would be happy to show you what a proper Corvair can do.
Not against Corvairs in general just thought the van/pickups could have used a better platform and engine/trans combination..as you can see I’ve never commented negative on the car and it’s many models..
There is nothing wrong with Edsels either. They were mechanically closely similar to the Fords & Mercurys. The only mistake was introducing a new mid-priced car in a severe recession.
I'm good bro, it's funny how one gets used to defending the cars they dig. Best to let your ride speak for it self.
I have a 63 Corvair Greenbrier van............I love it! Take it to cruises, shows, and use it to haul parts to swap meets. Swi66
Another great shot of Jim Hurtubise with that left front about a foot off the track and I think this is Williams Grove.

I never said there was anything wrong with them. Wrong timing for a new car. They had great engines. The center steering auto transmission controller became a problem but that’s just innovation without proper testing.
