There were 3 -- Mickey Thompson Cars built with Buick power for the 1962 Indy 500 and 2 of them made the Indy 500, this one did not make

I'd rather have the DeSoto, no question!

 

When I was about 7, my dad left his '50 Lincoln overnight for service at the dealer. They gave him a '37-8 Buick sedan for a loaner. I was thrilled and wanted to know why we couldn't trade the Lincoln for it. My dad just laughed but I still think I had a great idea.

 

That is a DeSoto!

 

That is why I showed both the Vintage photo and the the other one together on the same post. I just thought it was interesting that both photos were similar after so many years. Coincidence? I think not.
