  1. I'm really sick right now thinking about you and your car. That is a constant fear of almost every car guy.

I know you will fix it better than ever. Please don't get discouraged. I'm sending good vibes your way from Arkansas!

I'm still recovering from an accident a year ago in the daily...driving can take a while to feel comfortable after such an experience... @sacminiwheels I hope everything falls back into place without to much discomfort...it is pretty crazy out in the traffic jungle...and there looks to be a silver lining in salvaging your pride and joy...I am glad with the others that you are not in more serious shape...

Thank you Nick, it really means a lot! I am in the process of fixing it now, could have been so much worse. Very lucky, will be back on the road soon. Will post some progress pics soon.

  8. They plowed you, ran away, leaving the car they were driving. Stolen car? Was anyone caught/charged?

You threw me for a loop with your post from July 28 2009 when you stated "since Covid started ..." (post 31)

They ran away on foot into some apartments, the owner of the car claimed to have sold it days before. No one caught or charged. This post is a long time thread, I edited the original post a few times after changing directions over the years. I now see how that could be confusing, deleted the edit.

You have bounced back in so many ways but what a terrible experience to get over...I sure as hell hope you got some compensation from some direction...it seems so damn fishy...

Lookin good, love it that youre keeping it on the road and not letting this incident put the car back into project purgatory. Keep driving it, working out the bugs.

The little wrinkles on drivers quarter - good hammer and dolly guy can clean that up in short order - when you get around to it.

Made it back to the home of the red barn, where the car came from, my Uncle J's house. Felt good to bring it back and show it to my Aunt. Wish he could have seen it and gone for a ride. He was the last person to drive it as a stocker. Would have been cool to have him drive it now.

Added 32 bumper over Christmas, cleaned up some loose ends. Carmichael cars and coffee. Got all the glass in it, feels like a real car now!

Finally got my Rootlieb Hood, fits the 30 cowl, 32 grille shell, has 32 louvers and hinge is raised to beltline. I'm in love!

Switching the Grille Shell to a filled shell, light bar to a roadster supply dropped bar. Adding the Zips water pump riser. Work to do!

IMG_1595.JPG IMG_1556.JPG Made some progress, painted the radiator, got the shell in its final position with hood installed, zips water pump riser installed, broke the intake manifold so installed a new one along with finned valve covers.
