I was going to ask you about the set up on your truck. What type of intake is it??? and what's in the motor?

Straight linkage and it runs good!!! Nice!!! When you "punch it" does it give you the same effect of secondaries opening up or is it more of a "smooth" acceleration?

I like this thread as searching for 6x2 info was what lead me to the hamb in the first place. I have a wieand dragstar for a sbc with 6 holley 2100 carbs on it. All carbs are hooked up. I bought it cause I thought it was just too damn cool. I recently bought a car to go with it.
Heres a pic (bigger version of avatar)

Some of the bolt holes are inside the intake. You can just see 1 bolt hole under the carb base. Edelbrock used a long bolt. Socket head cap screws work well. (allen wrench)

here is a shot of flips 55 with a 6x2 setup. . Most people like the look of them Staggered better. I like them either way..

Its a ton of work to make a blower tops . I have made a couple by hand.
I realized it was better to make a mold and cast them in the end. Especially with the price of aluminum..

The intake is just your basic Offenhauser, the engine is less than mild, its a 327 bored .030, 10.34 compression, real small Isky stick, .464 lift with .221 dur. @ .050 on a 108 centerline. Stock camel hump heads 2.02 / 1.60 valves. I did not even gasket match the heads or intake, I plan on doing that this winter, she is in need of a rebuild, its short life has been brutal, but still running strong. I also run the plain jane msd box with it, I think it helps burn the fuel better..................................When you punch it.it just goes, it does not feel like it has vacuum secondaries at all, it is very responsive......it marches hard....Littleman

I blocked all six power valves, people will argue about too block or not to block...............I blocked them, saw no pupose to try them unless I could not get it to work without them.......................the time slips I have do not lie................then again I have no idea what I am doing, I just try my best....Littleman

Here's an Offenhauser set up l have and l took some pics for you when l run them l use the center 2 for primaries and the out side 4 for the secondary.
As for the power valve thing l usually put in 3.5 in.
l have run a few setups with good success.
l have a few different 6 carb setups and l also have the one from EELCO for the 671 that lm building right now for my A.
Some times l even end up making my own linkage's up.
But half the time its easier to buy the linkage from EELCO.

l have to still go through the carb's before l can use them, so l will install longer throttle shafts in carb base's when l redo the 97's
This is a setup lm using right now on my 27 Roadster pickup its a 4x2 setup with 4 Holley 94's. lm really happy how this setup works on the small block l made up the progressive linkage up out of a few old sets l had kicking around and added a couple of rods.

Just think about it my friend.
Look at the lay out of the intake and its runners
The front two are the primaries and the back two are the secondaries...:)

Here is a side view of the linkage.

ok I see you used a regular 4x2 Crossram and put something like the "Vintage Speed" adaptors on it. That is really cool - I like it!!!

I was thinking it was more like a "Man-a-fre" SetUp - which if you ran it progressively it would seem to be "unbalanced"

    Nice Work!!
