Have a 33 ford pickup and a motor and trans out of a 50 shoebox . Trans is hitting the stick saddle .
Any off the shelve parts I could use to replace the saddle and punt the trans ?ideas ?

  2. That single photo doesn't really show the exact interference, but can you hole saw a hole (that sounds like 'can a woodchuck chuck'...) so just what I ***ume to be the overdrive lockout shaft extends through. A 1 1/2" hole wouldn't compromise the frame, and might give you the room/clearance you need.

Don’t know if I should remove original cradle and replace with aftermarket bracket .

The extension hitting the mount is the support for clutch linkage on '49-'51 Fords and could be removed, but you still need a new trans mount, and other possible mods for shift linkage clearance.

Thanks - is there anything out for a support bracket you know of ? Or should I buy some Stella plate and make my own ?

You really need to establish a rear axle ride height, so drive shaft angles can be known, which will then locate the transmission so a mount can be fabricated.
