I think I want to bag the rear of my 50 Chevy coupe. I want to use a Gambino notch and a 4 link kit. Where do I buy a paralllel 4 link kit for this car?

  2. Chris Alston ChassisWorks.

Made for race cars, but the Polyurethane bushing/Heim joint looking ends look like they'll work very well for the street.

    Chrome plated as well.

  4. I just talked to Alex Gambino last weekend about a 4-link kit he's working on...I'm not sure how far along he is, but call him up. I'm sure he can help one way or another.

Buy parts from www.suicidedoors.com they're really inexpensive and their products are great quality. if you want to check their reputation pick up any street truck or mini truck magazine. i have one of their custom wishbone 4 links on my truck and its great

    we have triangelated 4 bars also,call us 408 561 5744

  7. go with the triangulated four bar if you are going to bag it. the panhard bar on the parrallel 4 bar will kick the rearend to one side when you drop it. and the trangulated will go straight up and down. Just tryin to help.

or you can use a parallel 4 link with a watts link instead of a panhard bar and it will keep the axle perfect if designed properly. check out the one www.kpcomponents.com makes for fullsize late model pickups for some info

I talked to Gambino Kustoms, and the guy knows alot about this stuff! I am going to get the notch kit and triangulated 4 link from him. Hopefully I can get a diagram or drawing of how it all goes together because this is my first build and don't know jack. He also talked about the Fatman Mustang II ultra low kit, and I may get one. Does anybody know if you can run oem arms and strut rods with that ultra low crossmember? I don't want the tubular arms that eliminate the struts, they scare the hell out of me with a car this heavy. First thing I better do is be an alliance member because I guess they get a discount on stuff from these guys.

You will need the tubular arms.

Support a HAMB'er and buy from Gambino Kustoms.

MY understanding is that a Watts link needs lots of room and bracing to work well. Do a search and you will see it has been discussed here before.
