Hello. Does any manufacturer make an after-market (new) road draft tube ***embly for the1955 272 engine? If not, does anyone have a good one for sale? (I checked Mac's and Carpenter, but did not see one.)
    Thanks, Mato

Adding a PCV system has been discussed many times on the blocksforever also. The factory used a steel plate for your style engine on the thunderbirds and later engines . A later year valley pan is best but not necessary. You could drill yours for a grommet and fabricate a oil deflector under it. I just completed one on a 292 with dual quads so a single carb one pretty ez. As stated if you can get a 61-64 valley pan it’s a cinch.

Dont bother with the pcv conversion. I tried it and started getting random oil loss. After a conversation with Tim Mcmaster I put the road draft tube on my y block. He told me that he has never had much success with them and doesn't run them anymore. If you are still looking for s road draft tube I may be able to help.

If you park in a garage attached to your home given some time you will like a PCV system. I am very pleased with the one I installed with factory 61-64 parts.
