    Y'all--

I know this ain't technically tech during Tech Week, but I guess it's kinda tech for us. We're looking for a full-time writer for GARAGE magazine! It's a big deal for us and as much talk on this board as there is when it comes to magazines, I thought maybe someone would want to put their "money where their mouth is."

Check this craigslist link for the poop on this job. It's gonna take just the right person, but I have a feeling maybe that person is hanging around here...

Thanks and looking forward to hearing from someone!

I will be in contact with you later this afternoon. Curious about a couple of things, and hope you can answer.
    Later,

That would be such an awesome gig, you're close, and I'm very good at writing, but I have no real world experience in writing for a magazine.

  14. ~Stoner,
Also in addition to writing whatever is necessary, I would also be willing to take on the task of seeking out your pin-up girls....In the interest of finding only the most "Qualified" centerfolds of course...and to go to no ends searching every car show, wet t contest, tattoo shop, strip club, biker bar, and m/c event as well as personally interview every member of the Suicide Girls and the ***** Cat Dolls to find just the right girls for those positions! I'm TEAM player...

    OK! I will!

I just recieved a steering box from a 77 F-150 manual steering that I want to use as a cowl steering box. I needed to reverse the box, so I dis***embled it, knocked the freeze plug out of the back side of it, installed a CR# 7475 seal in the back side, a 13/16 freeze plug in the old hole, and re***embled the unit. There was no machine work, and it cost me under $10 to reverse it. How's that?

Hey, I never thought I'd get som many responses! Thanks so much for taking the time to reply and it's actually brought up a whole new idea: SO, yes, send us samples of your illustrations, photography and more writing samples to chief@garagemagazine.com. We'll go over everything and get back to you. NO PROMISES on publishing anything (I've been burned before on being vague about this fact), but we sure would love to hear from you.

And way to go, Tommyboy--you're making friends and influencing people right from the start, hmmm?

  24. Saw him back again with a different name, but the mods were on him like a bum on a hamB sandwich. Most of the posts were deleted. Reminiscant of someone in the old days when I was a lurker.
