Hot Rods Any love for 40's Buicks?

Any one have a late 40's Buick? post up some pics.

 

I love them so much I have a'47 convertible and Sedanette. I reluctantly parted out a sedan. All Supers.

 

Well I guess it's just the two of us!

 

I have never owned one,,,but I would like to.These are some pics I have taken over the years in Sweden, .

 

How about a 40. My newest project.

 

As a mostly Ford guy, i have to say; i'd love to have a sedanette with a Dynaflash twin carb mill ....them thar is neato cars.......

This was my first custom - a 49 Super 4 door. I think it was chopped 8 inches. Really a beast to drive.

 

Yup. I have a '47 Sedanette. 500 Caddy under the hood. Upgraded suspension. Hoping to get to it VERY soon. Needs small amount of brake work & finish the wiring (about 1/2 done). Plus a few other easy(ish) things. Plan is to drive it for a while, then probably put up for sale. Bought it because I thought I'd never get a Merc, & it's almost as cool. Got the merc. How much cool can one guy take?

 

He who dies with the most toys wins...

 

And his wife and family lose, because they have to deal with all of that shit.

 

A 40 Buick Century was one of GM's first hot rods. It really was capable of 100 mph.

 

Here is my 49 Super. Working on painting it now.

 

Keep them coming, I like it.

 

Two of my preivous Buicks, -48 and -41 Special.

 

I sure love my 49. Been working on it for 2 or 3 years now and , hopefully will finish it this year. Link below.

 

Here is my 41. It has a 364 Nailhead in it now and having Yaril do some customization. I’ll post new pics when the chop is done...

Would you believe me if I told you that the one and only real modification the owner made was to put air suspension on it. After that it’s all factory equipment.
