I'm restoring a '53 Kurtis-Kraft 500S which uses 16 x 5 1/2 Halibrand knock off wheels. The knock off thread is integral with the hubs on the front but rears require an adapter hub. The wheels are 5 on 5" dia pin circle and the K/O threads are 2 5/8" dia ... rights and lefts. The common adapters are made by Trigo for Cobras and SoCal and ET for hot rods but they use a smaller dia. knock off thread. I've had a set of these 2 5/8's on another car but I can't find adapters now anywhere. Seeing lots of real knock off wheels used on all kinds of hot rods now days so hoping that someone is using the original Halibrand size thread.
