I got mine @ Walmart yesterday (July 12th). I guess the Electronics dept doesn't have access to a calender. It's cool. It has the "Offerings to the Speed Gods" do***entary, four deleted scene, and cast and director interviews. The DVD was cheaper than paying to watch it in the theaters, so...

Watched it twice yesterday - release here in the UK was very limited, with most showings during the day on a weekday meaning I had to wait for the release. Pre-ordered at Amazon months ago & just got back from a long business trip to find it waiting for me.

Watched the whole thing first, then again just from when he showed up at Bonneville, then all the extra stuff & watched it again last night!

Limited release was a huge mistake. Perhaps they'll realize this & re-release it...I'd like to see it on the big screen...

Bought my copy last night at the evil empire... I mean Wal Mart. Do you all think this would play good at a drive-in?

The do***entary on DVD is worth the purchase price. A lot of the best lines of the movie were best pulled from the do***entary. His shirt though that says "Diry old men need lovin' too" is priceless! The best $17 spent in a long time.

I just watched the DVD and there is some info mentioned in the special features. There was a replica made for the movie. They also mentioned the motor was originally a flathead and that it was converted to overhead. In the later trips, the frame of the bike was left in the U.S. and the motor only was shipped back and forth.

  14. He had problems with money so how did he afford 9 later trips?

I feel like a ***** but where is the do***entary on the dvd? I found trailer and Behind the Scenes in the Special Feature section but that's it.

its called "offerings to the God of speed" I'm pretty sure it is under special features

  19. i finally got a chance to see this movie.
me and my wife love it!

only thing wrong was the editing.
check out the scene when he buys his firt car in th usa. right at the point where he makes a righthand turn. look at the cars in the back ground. there is a 90s model caddy and a pick up truck site in the parking lot across the street! lol

    still a great movie

I saw the movie last week and to tell you the truth, I thought it was a let down at the end. I think they do that to leave it open to a sequel. I loved the topic and 99% of the movie but I wish they would have shown more about the mechanics and they should have shown more shots of cars on the salt. Anyway, it's a good flick and we need more like it.:)
