It’s funny you should ask , originally the b piller was leaned back 3-4 degrees, I leaned it forward 3-4 degrees and rounded the top . But without having a stock one next to it it looks like it should of came that way

I’m using Tig er70s2 , .035 I look at metal differently than most people . Metal doesn’t warp . It’s shrinks or stretches . When you weld it shrinks causing a distortion . Once it gets stretched back out(hammer on dolly) it goes back to its relaxed state , something that can only be done with Tig or torch welding, something you can’t do with a mig

Thank you , I think of it more like a crazy obsession ,and messing up an awful lot of metal in the past

I learned to do bodywork in the 50’s From a man who did body work during the Great Depression and WWII Russ could fix anything with anything. He taught me how to weld and control warpage, the best place to splice panels together. How to pull hail dents with a torch. We did was welded with a Acetylene torch. We even hade a Acetylene generator to make our gas, my first job was cleaning the muck out of it. I use ER70S2 same as you and been happy with it. I use ER70S6 in my mig
I really can appreciate the work you do and congratulate your work and skill set.

I think Harley Earl would approve! I have dreams of having talent like this, I lie to my wife and tell her they were about other women.

  22. I love the little trick with the taillights, moving them back, to get rid of the step in the fender.
