So I picked up this 42 Ford two weeks ago and have just been looking at it. It would make a nice streetrod for the wife and kids but every time I see it, it screams G***er. What do you guys think g***er or grocery getter? It just looks like it wants to do wheelies to me.
Talk about a quick run to the store... I think they make great g***ers, it's a good looking shape, looks great on the ground and chopped, or raised up and on slicks.
Thats my 41, and i tell ya, its a lot less stress to build a g***er, but a lot more stress to drive it on the street. course, mines psychotic with no front brakes, 9" drums in the rear and 600hp through straight headers and a 4 speed. itll give you a whole new take on "make a run to the store". if you choose to make it a g***er (which, of course, you should) make sure you put the drvs seat up nice and high. you literally cant see anything smaller than a small suv if the seat is in the proper position.
Well it's going to be a g***er and one that will be legal for the drags. We started to tear it down and have the body ready to come off the frame. Drinker? No its going to be a Guzzler! ProEnfo, Firesuit Phil's car is in this months Goodguys Gazette and that really made up my mind for me. Can someone post some pics of raised front ends? Is parallel leaf the way to go? We've always made them lower this is something new.
