you sure do have a lot of population down under! i thought it was like mad max and was all waste land. hahaha

 

Well 25 million in total and most are concentrated on the East Coast.
Plenty of wide open spaces also.

More Aussie. The first one is refuelling on the famous Redex Rally in 1953. FX Holden and Austin Somerset in the picture.

A vintage view of Clark's Gas Land in Spanaway, WA. Somehow, the name speaks to this old pump jockey...

Appaently they had a monthly used car sweepstakes:

Best of all, I got the sign! Found it today in at a building salvage outfit, had to have it.

That's the same sign as seen in the first picture, right above the pumps. I set it on an A ch***is for scale.

 

I think I will make this my regular station.

Station, dealership, race car and hauler.

 

Saved up a few Aussie ones again. There is one towards the end where the word service is true with three staff attending to a customer. And an iconic 63/64 EH Holden sedan that are now collector items.

 

Wonder why they are all on the roof. A parade maybe. Bunting or streamers hanging down.

In the last picture there is a Ford Fairlane circa 1960 and a TBird in the yard on the left.
