I found this dizzy several years ago at a swap meet for $20. A price too good to pass up. It had a generic tan cap on it. I know its for a SBF, but I cannot tell who made it. I can find absolutely no numbers or any kind of markings inside or outside. It has a tach drive on it and no vacuum advance. It has these unusual screw-down clamps for the cap. Its dual points. There is a rubber dust shield on each side so you can adjust the points with an allen wrench. Its polished and definately not billet. I'd like to know the make in case I need parts for it.
I vote ACCEL. I have a tach drive Accel for BB Mopar. Has a yellow decal on the side with p/n's for points, cap, condensor, etc, and has a tan cap. Most Mallory's have a metal tag.
I agree with the ACCEL crowd - what you might have is MARINE distributor - they traditionally feature bolt down caps - usually there's some kind of brass screen vent - perhaps the rubber holes serve that purpose. dj
Are they really junk? Whats the going price for one? I like the looks of them (not as much as the cragar ones though). Would it be worth it to pick one up and swap in a petronix II?
