I was thinking the exact thing! Imagine how sweet that would look with those two rolling down the highway together!

Loving your new ride, man. Looks damn sweeeeeeeet! I wouldn't want billets either. You can't beat the timeless look of traditional steels :)

Got halogen and park/turn kits in mine. Plenty of light...perfect. IMG_20210407_195251998~2.jpeg IMG_20210314_121955949~2.jpeg

Leave the '40 lights! Other than color, just like my high school car back in '71-'72.

  10. Hope this is allowed. Just to compare how it looked before with the ugly wheels.

Now that's a great start for a traditional rig... Mine was also "up-dated" somewhere along the line with a "40 grill & headlights. (I'd trade for '39 DeLuxe Hood, grille & headlights any day of the week) The color, the stance, wheels... man, what a beauty!!! Congratulations! IMG_1839.JPG

"On the Road Again" Scott, drove mine to Mo.this past Sept, thinking of doing it again ,maybe Lothian Don, you , me a couple others ? Large groups of 39-40 coupes , sedans, convertibles hard to beat . Heck any large group of hot rods together is more enjoyable then almost anything I can think of . More enjoyable then the lookin is the driving ! A little over 2100 miles round trip .Expect to see you at Jalopyrama , love your new beauty ! And cool beans !!!!! Keep em cummin !!!

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Scott, not trying to steal your thunder . Have a soft spot in my heart for 39 coupes . Here's a few pics of the one that got away from me in 2017. I didn't drop what I was doing and do the drive. Moped around for several months cause I missed it . Found my sedan about 9 months later no real regrets but I still love 36-48 ford coupes !!! But if Ida got that 39!!!!! Dropped axle , black walls , think that's why the good Lord said nope! That's not yours !!!

Nice one! Ron Thorpe’s is the one that got me into them. Never thought I’d own one. But here I am. :)

That car is gorgeous, I think the 39's were about the prettiest Fords built, and that's not because I own one. Congrats....
