^Which raises a point that shits me to tears here. Tudor (the Ford spelling of two-door) is pronounced like a historical period in merry old England. King Henry was Henry Tudor. And a two door sedan is a two door. (Also, a related issue: only Ford spelled two door tudor, yet people here will use the Henry Tudor pronunciation for all brand two door sedans.) Sorry, rant over. And irrelevant to most of you.
When I was a kid, the first hot rod magazine I saw was Rod Action. There was a blue metallic chopped '30 sedan A model in it. I have been hooked on A model's since.
Thanks for all the great pics everyone; keep ‘me coming! Really loving the lines/looks of the Tudors lately...hmmm, maybe in the market for one! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Dnno if many USA guys have seen the Oz version of the 39/40 Ford Tudor however I prefer the look of these to the US cars, this was at the time of the pic was owned by a fellow club member, its since been sold........the Oz "Slopers" as they are called here used US Tudor doors AFAIK but OZ made rear body and only in 1939 & 1940 Fords........Mopars here did a similar thing in 1937 & 1938 and GM here had their "All Enclosed Coupe" in 1935-40 for Chev, 1936-40 for Pontiac, Oldsmobile and Buick......andyd
