Got out to the track this weekend to test the wheelie bars and make a few hits.

car ran 10.582, 10.583, and 10.50. Wheelie bars started to make the car pull to the left a bit, but with a few adjustments I got it going straight again.

My RTs are getting better and now I need to slow the car down a bit, so I’m looking at using a couple adjustable restrictor plates. First official race is on the 17th with the WCPG guys. I’ll be competing against dudes that have been doing this for 30 years so I’m sure I’ll get smoked in the first round. But we’ll have some fun doing it.

  4. So you’re going to be racing for the first time against guys with more experience, big deal, just go out there and have fun. Besides, 10.5 @ 126 is nothing to be ashamed of.

I'd say an .020 is a good reaction time, no?

Restrictor plates showed up. I should really be able to dial it in with these.

  9. What kind of wheelies are you pulling now with that height of the wheelie bars ?
What size of carbs did you get or do you still have the old ones on ?

I have it set to pull the front end off the ground about 8-12 inches.

Still using those 525 demons. It runs awesome and isn’t lean at all. I’m shocked since everything I read says I need bigger CFM, but it’s working.

I’ve got about 40 passes on the car and it’s working pretty good. Went 3 rounds last weekend and lost to a red eye. I’ve got an issue with my transbrake letting the car roll forward 2-4” while stagged so I need to wire my line lock into it.

I'm getting ready to switch to E85. Race fuel is running me $800 a drum and the equivalent in E85 would be around $165.

I'm gonna need new carbs and few other parts and pieces, but I think it will be a good move.
