It has been cancelled as of today. Can't have any events with more than 10,000 people

Well that really sucks, but I can see and understand why they postponed it.

I don’t blame the msra at all, they could not put on a show with all stupid rule the state put in place.

That list of protocol from MDH is complete insanity and impossible to adhere to.

And if they don’t like how Msra is handling it they can shut it down at anytime.

You are very fortunate that you are not in my situation. I lost my best friend from high school and his son to this disease last week. If you had experienced something like this, you would probably rethink your position. Unfortunately, they shared your attitude, were careless, and ended up paying the ultimate price.

And yes, this happened in the twin cities suburbs.

Sorry for the lose of your friends.

  16. I feel bad for all my friends and family stuck in that backasswards place. I know of more than one moving or looking to move West to our greener pastures. I was looking forward to seeing a bunch of you in June.

I don't feel so bad about not going in the first place. Tman I might make a trip out your way this summer, looking for real estate!

I fully understand that. That's why MSRA canceled. Too difficult to meet all those requirements.

If I was the MSRA, I would permanently move the event.
Like BIR in Brainerd. They need all the help they can get. Screw the fairgrounds.
And yes, I know the MSRA has the SSFR up there later in the summer. Combine BTT50’s and the SSFR. Lawn chair car shows are about as healthy as printed magazines.

  21. That is a great idea. Brainerd is a good venue as well.

Wouldn't Minnesota's 10,000 person limit apply there too?

BIR would certainly have the space, and even significantly better camping options, and I like the thought of having some vintage drag racing going on at the same time. But I think the Brainerd Lakes area would quickly run out of hotel options (Less than 2500 rooms within 30 miles) and traffic would become miserable quickly, it is bad enough on big event weekends such as Nationals and fishing tournaments. Not that it matters to me too much, both my parents and In-Laws live in the area, so bring it on MSRA.

Im sure it wouldn't generate as much money from spectators, that would be the real issue.

  29. Yet protests go unchecked in that fine democratic state. They should have called it a peaceful protest of car guys not a car show.
