Anyone had any success with this stuff? Found it in a liter can on Amazon. (Made in Canada)

Rubbers on the front and rear quarter windows on the 50 Shoebox Custom Coupe were still intact but hard and none of the windows would close. Thought I’d give it a try before replacing them. It’s pretty potent stuff, designed for platten rollers etc. The rubbers ****ed up the first coat like crazy... seemed like it would take as much as I could give it. Just used a fine artist brush, taking care not to let any run onto the paintwork.

24 hours later, the rear windows are closing all the way and the front almost. I’ll give it another few soaks to see how they go.

Thanks for the link... that’s the one.

    Rubber Renue 408a

I paid $39 for a liter can on Amazon, but I just looked and they now only show a 125ml bottle for $15 (I bought the 1 liter only last week, but it’s not even coming up as out of stock?)

I reckon I used maybe 2-3oz on my first p***... it’s a bit like acetone in look, consistency and flow... but smells worse! 125ml would probably only do one vehicle application.

Thanks for the info. I sure could use some on these projects I’m working on.

Looks like mostly xylene flavored with wintergreen oil. Jack E/ NJ
