Are these style toploaders desirable to anyone? I've never seen one with a brake on it. Probably a common thing with big trucks.
I am far from an old Ford trans knowledgeable person. But weren't some of the big truck trans a 4 speed and non-synchro? Making that trans not desirable for anything except a stock restoration?
That is a truck transmission with a PTO still bolted to the side. Probably not useful in a hot Rod. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Too bad the bell is part of the trans. Some of the flathead big truck trans bolted to a hogs head which is used to adapt other trans, like a T-5. Looks just like the one in a '40 1 1/2 ton flatbed dump I had. As said not worth much except for someone restoring a truck with an open drive line trans.
Looks to me to be a one way PTO for the hoist for a dump truck. Not a 2 way for a winch, they are much larger
