Yeah I'm a good damn girlfriend...jumping out the car and into traffic for pieces of your beloved new possession. Oh and I got the first ride...she's sweet...will be even sweeter when she stays in one piece!
OK OK OK theres doctors, lawyers, mechanics and bums on here...but i guess no investigators??....if you compared my chopped up color changed pictures to pictures from one of my previous posts you could figure out which car this is...see, not a big secret after all

awww our new hot rod! i'm so glad this thing is finally home...you've been driving me nuts for the last 10 months!!!
no not manny's his is on a 32 frame 4 port motor no wheel well openings and a simplier interior this is an A frame with 32 looking frame covers...a recent addition i'm working on taking off all the "new" stuff frame covers, alternator etc.
That was my first thought, it sure has got the look tho. Very nice. I'm becoming jealous, a slick roadster, then Heidi and now the new car. Jeez.
Frame covers off......? That kinda drew me in on what set that car a bit different from other A framed cars.
Damn straight! Right behind every good man, there is a better woman! Heidi, Zach is way lucky to have you! I hope that you both have fun on you early dinner date today, as he just got off PM'ng me in order to take you out since you missed sat's dinner date waiting for his dad & the trailer. He told me that he was gonna pay you back for finding the crank pulley washer . C-ya Kevin
You broke THAT car and you're looking for a CHINESE crank pulley for it?? DAMN! For THAT car, I'll spot you one NOS Ford pulley.
yeah..I liked the frame covers too. Just DO NOT change that seat. Its comfy. I love that car. It was one of my favorites to shoot from a day that was filled with great cars. I need to get back up there.. Spike
thanks everyone... bruce, i sent you a P-M spike.....dont worry that seats a keeper kinda the reason i bought the whole car kevin...ive got all this V8 equipment sitting here still on the bench this is my first "running" cyclone equipment...seems to perform pretty well.... **I think its time to start doing the 4 banger parts!** zach
zach, to answer this question, perhaps it is better to start a new thread and let this one go.... because we both know the answer can be long... haha
OK, found the pulley...couldn't find the washer or crank ratchet, so you'll have to negotiate with this "Heidi" person, who seems to have found just the pieces you need... This pulley is just like a regular B one except it doesn't say "Made in China" on it... I understand it was found in the bottom of Henry Ford's sock drawer by Barney Navarro, when they were carrying all the stuff out of Fairlane to the curb after Henry died in '47...
well...honestly...i dont know the history on the car i'm still waiting on the paperwork with information from california in the 60's from the person i bought the car from aside from that i know it was in new zealand then new jersey and now central PA the interior is stuffed with february 18th 1946 LA California newspaper theres an "A" gas ration sticker on the windsheild the floor is patched with 30, 31 & 38 california license plates theres a HUGE round gas tank in the trunk the grill and cowl were filled in long ago...leaded it appears that it was crashed in the left rear at some point and repaired with old welding techniques(torch?) the trunk looks reskinned and the rear lower pannel replaced the dropped front axle looks as though it was chromed at some point and the cowl sides had mooneyes painted on them at some point in time...i'd guess the 60's? i have found a car that i believe to be it, in the don montgomery books and i have found the guy who built/raced that...he's still around and ive been talking with him about the car and theres alot of coincidental things that lead me to believe that this "could be" his car but it could be alot of cars so im not sure...he's sent me quite a few pictures of his car in 1941 and right now is making copies of his old SCTA timing tags for me (wont sell any!!) ive talked with a few other people and all seem to lean towards it possibly being that car though also....so its promising but im still working on tracing it back....i know its been updated alot recently...Z'd frame, 32 looking frame covers, phillips screws everywhere! alternator, and a few other odds and ends that im going to try to reverse and make it how i think it was but im not going to "restore" it...the paint interior etc are not getting messed with...it has the so called "patina" that i like but yet its still really nice gloss black paint...laquer maybe? im not sure how you tell we'll see what i can discover....i just want to drive the darn thing now...so as soon as i get a crank pulley im gona do just that....after all...its a car! it needs to GOW! zach
well...now that would make a conversation piece!!! that Heidi character did have the washer and crank ratchet and she held them for ransom untill i bought her dinner last night so ***embly should be a snap now! thanks bruce!
