There was a Deatbeat meeting regarding the BDC last nite but Rudy and I didn't get home from L'ville in time for him to attend and he's without computer at work. I'm sure something will be posted tonight.
I've heard this to be the "Anti-cruise " I'd also like to go, Woodward has become a parking lot , commercial, and over-rated. Mark
The Broken Dream Cruise IS this Sunday, Aug 13th and like last year will be held at Jeff and Heathers place. Anytime AFTER 1pm is fine. Please remember this is someone home and they have setup to do that morning plus they like to go to breakfast on Sunday mornings so please don't show up early to power park. There is always plenty of parking for the hot rods in the backyard with the daily drivers on the street. There is no need to show up early to get a good spot, they are all good. If you need the address and directions please feel free to PM Roadstar. Once again this will be the highlite of the Metro Detroit area party scene. See ya all there.
I missed last year, it was the first year at Jeffs house. But from what I understand from Jime and everyone else that attended, it was the best one yet. WAY more room for cars than at the old shop. I will NOT be missing this one this year.
I WAS at Jeff's last year and it was great, just like a backyard BBQ....oh wait, it WAS a backyard BBQ! I'm planning on being there again this year. Anybody who's anybody will be there....Chip....Boyd....John Hall (ok, that's an inside joke).
Hopefully I will be there if I can get the Safari back together in time.Should be a great time again.
I heard some **** on the radio yeaterday about a downriver "nightmare" cruise. WTF is that about? That's all they said was it was downriver, no times, dates, locations...they said it's for "rusty old cars" and that was the end of it.
Sounds like something the Flint guys would throw together. I haven't heard anything regarding it but that doesn't mean much. I've been outta the loop this summer spending most weekends at out of state events. If I hear anything I'll sure post though. Perhaps if you call the radio station or look on their website they might have more info. Please post with updates if you find out.
I'm trying to get ahold of Donzie and Fuelpump to get permission to attend. If the paperwork get completed I'll be hitchhiking down I-75. If anyone sees me I'd appreiate a ride. Oh wait, just went out to the shop and the '32 cranked over so I won't be needing that ride (with fingers crossed). Frank
Say, How about posting some directions for us northern folks. Maybe something off I-75. Thanks in advance. Frank
