Does anyone have pictures on how these mount to the frame? I dont see any holes lining up on mine.

I looked but I dont have pics with me. There are 3 holes in the stock frame for the inner fenders to bolt to/through. The forward hole is threaded if I remember correctly and the two down rail are nut/bolt items. I added nutserts to those back holes to make RandR easier. Then of course you have the yoke holes in the reinforced area which is the forwardmost mount location.

Thanks. This helps and at least confirms they actually bolt to the frame. Mine seem to be bent causing nothing to line up. They were just resting on top of the frame rail when I got the truck and I couldn’t find a picture anywhere online.

Inner fender panels are sold as one and the same for cars and trucks. On the pickup your first ref point is the back upper bracket holding the last upper bolt of the fender and inner fender to the cowl. Depending on your frame, there may be holes to the left and right of the brake line opening that were for rubber bumpers that some have used to bolt the fender to the frame rail. I have not put my inner fender panels in but when I mocked up for my battery location in the engine compartment there was also a hole in the inner fender lower back corner next to the frame that I also used to line up things. The lower front edge of the inner panel eventually goes over the frame rail.

One idea is to bolt your inner fenders to the grille and see how things line up. I do know that your hood should go on first to line things up and can show you how good or bad things are. This is most frustrating but it is the nature of the beast.

Also look up how p***enger car inner fenders are installed. I have a book in my garage my Mike Kobarth on 40 Ford’s (he’s on Fordbarn), and a question placed there will probably yield more pointed answers. I will check Mike’s book later and send take any pics that might help .....

At a quick glance, Mike’s book does not give specific attachment locations, etc. since my frame is a 36 and has slight differences to the 40 frame used with pickups, I am no help for you. Your best bet is to do a post on Fordbarn asking for help. Be specific and pics (posting them is a pain) will really help to get the ball rolling ...
