Painting whitewalls with rubber coating

  1. Keep an eye on those Portawalls, they wear out the sides of radials. I've had them wear the sidewall down to the cord in a short time. It's were the outer edge of the Portawall touches the tire. Seen it a lot on radials. Portawalls are made for Biasply tires that don't flex much. Dean

    the only rubbing i've noticed was on the tires that had ripped ports.the other 2 have been on it a year and seem fine to me

    i tried the krylon fusion on a new set of tires, cleaned them very well with pre wipe, and brk clean, the white wall looked 100%, till we mounted them on the rims, the rim type machine slightly flexes the tires while rolling it on the rim, it cracked and chipped about 25% of the white krylon off, and the rest is flaking off on to the rims now, just rolling it around the shop, doesn't seem like the plan for a new tire,
